Israel Destroys Islamic University in Gaza

The Israeli army has bombed the Islamic University of Gaza to the ground. People were inside the university campus as the bombing began. University staff are trying to evacuate the people trapped under the rubble. The airstrike also hit ambulances which were trying to access the site. Hospitals are overwhelmed and they have warned the international community that they cannot continue dealing with the amounting cases as Palestinian death toll passes 1600. #Gaza

Naked Brooklyn woman dragged from apartment, left topless in hallway for minutes by NYPD officers

atane:

Dragging a naked Black grandma from her apartment and leaving her topless in the hallway. A dozen cops were needed for that. Just another evening for the NYPD. They also pepper sprayed a 4 yr old because I’m sure the child was a threat to them.

PS - The cops went to the wrong apartment.

“It’s not even about making money for me, it’s about gaining respect. Seems that for kids around here, all the respect goes to the drug dealers, because they’re the ones with money. But you know what saved me? Family. Instead of hanging out with friends after school, I’d take the bus from the Bronx to work with my dad in the recycling yard. He’d drive me around in his truck while he was doing pick-ups, and he’d tell me stories. And every one of his stories started the same way. He’d say: ‘I wish that when I was your age, I knew the things that I know now.’ And he’d also ask me questions. He’d say: ‘When you get a car, are you going to lease it or buy it?’ He’d say: ‘What stocks do you think we should buy with the money we make today?’ He’d say: ‘Where do you think is the best place to buy a piece of property?’”

It’s always surprising to me how many young women think they have to be perfect. I rarely meet a young man who doesn’t think he already is.

Staten Island man dies after NYPD cop puts him in chokehold — SEE THE VIDEO

A 400-pound asthmatic Staten Island dad died Thursday after a cop put him in a chokehold and other officers appeared to slam his head against the sidewalk, video of the incident shows.

“I can’t breathe! I can’t breathe!” Eric Garner, 43, repeatedly screamed after at least five NYPD officers took him down in front of a Tompkinsville beauty supply store when he balked at being handcuffed.

Within moments Garner, a married father of six children with two grandchildren, stopped struggling and appeared to be unconscious as police called paramedics to the scene. An angry crowd gathered, some recording with smartphones.

“When I kissed my husband this morning, I never thought it would be for the last time,” Garner’s wife, Esaw, told the Daily News.

She got no details from police until after she had gone to the hospital to identify his body, she said.

“I saw him with his eyes wide open and I said, ‘Babe, don’t leave me, I need you.’ But he was already gone,” she said.

and people wonder why black people don’t trust or have any love for cops. they murdered this man. this black man. and for what? fucking cigarettes. yea, WE’RE the fucking problem.

UN Secretary General Admits Moral Responsibility for Cholera

“’Certainly the U.N.’s refusal to accept responsibility and comply with its legal obligations undermines its mission to promote the rule of law in Haiti and elsewhere,” said Concannon, whose group was the first to file claims on behalf of 5,000 cholera victims and their families.

“Somewhere this afternoon, a police trainer is giving Haitian police officers a lecture about how they need to sacrifice their personal and friends’ interests and respect the rule of law so that Haiti can advance,” he said. “The trainees are looking at the logo on her/his shirt and laughing.’”

When was the last time you said, I love you, to yourself? Or the last time you said you were proud of yourself? Said you were cute, smart, funny? You’re with this identity for the entire duration of your existence…why not cultivate a relationship with yourself by appreciating yourself.
